Introduction

As one of the most important institutions of botany in China, WBG attaches great importance to the academic exchange and cooperation with international communities. Currently, it has established long-term cooperation relationship with universities and research institutes from more than 40 countries or regions, such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, etc. As the coordinating institution, WBG has initiated the "East-Asia Botanic Gardens Network". More than 20 international projects sponsored by World Wide Fund for Nature(WWF), Fauna & Flora International (FFI), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Science Foundation (NSF), etc. have been carried out by WBG. In addition, WBG also has held a series of international symposia, such as the Third Global Botanical Garden Congress in 2007, etc.
