On January 9^th, Wuhan Botanical Garden was awarded the title Demonstration Unit of Staff Sports by the CAS Sports Association, and was honored as one of the sixteen demonstration units in the whole CAS system.

Ever since a long time ago, leaders of the WBG have attached great importance on mass sports activities, and put the implementation of the Outline of the Nationwide Bodybuilding Plan on the WBG work agenda, regarding it as a key component of promoting cultural and ideological progress and innovation culture within the institute.

In this respect, the WBG Bodybuilding Plan Project was established. The WBG Culture and Sports Association consists of the secretariat, the competition section and the logistics section. The Volleyball Association and Badminton Association were also established.

To ensure the orderly implementation of the bodybuilding plans, WBG formulated a Culture and Sports Association Regulation, drawing up annual plans according to the regulation every year, and earnestly organizing and carrying out the plan.

WBG will make persistent efforts in implementing the scientific outlook on development; adhere to the principle of staff orientation; take as an opportunity the competition for CAS Staff Sports Demonstration Unit and highlight the theme of "Celebrating the 60^th Anniversary of the CAS". Equal emphasis will be placed on activities, organization and facilitate building. WBG endeavors to promote a mushrooming development of staff bodybuilding and sports activities. WBG thus will make greater contribution to the construction of the CAS that featuring reform, innovation, harmony and endeavor.
