Professors from WBG Attended The 6th International Symposium on Frontiers in Agricultural Proteome Research
2014-07-09
The 6th International Symposium on Frontiers in Agricultural Proteome Research, the 1st AOAPO conference & the 5th Plant Proteomics Conference in China was held from June 23th to June 27th, 2014 in Harbin, China. Prof. YANG Pingfang and Prof. CHAN Zhulong from Wuhan Botanical Garden (WBG) attended this conference.
More than 100 representatives from Asia and all over the world who worked on the related areas attended this important conference. During this symposium, Prof. YANG Pingfang and Prof. CHAN Zhulong from WBG made reports entitled “Proteomic studies on rice seed germination” and “ISA proteins play as negative regulator in ABA signaling pathway” respectively. In the meantime, these two professors conducted in-depth communication with the leading scientists in plant and agricultural proteomics research and explored for further cooperation.
The goal was to promote the development of proteome research in agricultural and plant biology areas and to enhance communication and cooperation between the members of the international plant proteomics community. It was primarily organized by AOAPO, the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (Branch of Chromosome, Genome and Proteome) and the Heilongjiang Province Proteomics and hosted by Heilongjiang University, the Hereditary Tree Breeding State Key laboratory from Northeast Forestry University and Qiqihar University.
