Dr. Crispin Taylor and Dr. Lily Huang from American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) paid a visit to Wuhan Botanical Garden (WBG) on June 23rd and had a symposium with WBG scientists at number 2 meeting room of Administration Building. The director of Technical Supporting Center YANG Zhongqing presided over the symposium, and research fellows LI Jianqiang, JIANG Mingxi, LI Wei, HAN Yuepeng, ZHANG Yansheng and YANG Pingfang as well as relevant people from Technical Supporting Center participated.

At first, Dr. Crispin Taylor inquired the subscription situation of scientific journals in WBG, the access for searching papers and existed problems. Then, he discussed the feasibility of reading scientific journals by cell phone with the scientists. After the short conversation, Dr. Crispin Taylor gave a presentation titled “ASPB and its Journals: Growing in Importance and Impact”. In his presentation, he introduced ASPB and its publications, including two famous journals named Plant Cell and Plant Physiology. Dr. Crispin Taylor had an interaction with scientists on how to submit papers to international scientific journals. This visit has positive influence on publishing papers in international journals for WBG scientists.
